How to connect Cloudflare domains to Notion websites
Just built your Notion-made website? Well, you might be here because you want to connect your custom domain to this website. So then, don't worry, you're in the right place.
If you have a Cloudflare domain that you want to connect to the Notion-built website, we're now going to show you all there is to know about assigning that domain to your Notion page.
With this being said, let's jump right into the tutorial!
How to connect Cloudflare DNS to Notion
To assign a Cloudflare domain to a Notion-built website, you have to copy your Notion x Simple.ink website's DNS records and paste them in Notion. That's right about it!
If you want to see the fully-detailed way to add Cloudflare in Notion, then make sure to keep reading this tutorial, as we're now going to go step-by-step about how Cloudflare x Notion works.
1. Copy your DNS records
The very first thing you should know about this guide is that a Cloudflare domain won't be connected to a Notion page, but to a Notion-built website. Getting a Notion website is 100% free and it takes about 10 seconds, so why not join us?
Then, go to your Simple.ink website's dashboard - the link won't work unless you're logged in. Once you're there, expand the "Website settings" menu and select "Domain".
You'll then go to a new page, and you'll see the section with the DNS settings. To make it easier for you, copy the DNS records from here (they're the same for all of the Simple.ink-built websites):
- Host/name: @ (or leave empty, if that's the case)
- Type: A
- Value: 76.76.21.21
2. Connect Notion to Cloudflare
Up next, you want to go to Cloudflare and browse the DNS menu on the left side of the screen. Then, click on "Add record".
Upon hitting the blue record button, you will see a new pop-up where you have to add the DNS record's details.
In that pop-up, you want to add the DNS details that were previously copied at the first step of the guide. Remember that you also have to tick the "Proxy status" check as negative, like so:
Once you've added the details of your Simple.ink x Notion website's DNS into Cloudflare, you have to hit the "Save" button. That's it!
