FAQ Answer

How do I get my Notion Share URL (link)? How do I make my Notion page public, so I can build my website?

You will need your Notion public, share-able URL, in order to build your website with Simple.ink

In order to get it, you will need to:

  1. Go to the main page (see below) that you want built
  2. Click 'Share' in the upper right corner
  3. Turn on "Share to web" → this makes the page public
  4. Click 'copy'

That's it! That's your URL. Paste that into Simple.ink (in the navigation bar, on any page, you will find the field in which you can paste it) to build your website

How should the Notion share URL look like?

Here's a couple of examples of Notion share URLs and how they might look like:

1. https://chddaniel.notion.site/Page-Title-397721dabbz84
2. https://chill-cookie-7n3.notion.site/Page-Title-397721bd
3. https://you.notion.site/Page-Title-3977219nan844d

"Chddaniel", "chill-cookie" or "you" — that is the subdomain of your Notion account. You can change that, or it will be randomly allocated with some dictionary words (such as in example #2 - "chill cookie")

If you change your subdomain, the websites you've built will not work anymore. Your Notion share URLs will have changed, if you do that. Unless you update your Simple.ink account with the changed links, the Simple.ink website will stop working

What do you mean by 'main page' in step 2?

Notion pages can have subpages. You will probably want to create a website with the topmost page. Meaning:

  • If page 1 includes pages 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3
  • And page 1.2 has got pages 1.2.1 and 1.2.3
  • You will want to paste the link of page 1 (since it will include the others)
